Description
Bathysphere 100 GMT
Although it draws inspiration from our original 1970 design, the Bathyscaphe GMT is a thoroughly modern watch, with a 42 x 49 x 13 millimeter case CNC machined out of a solid block of German 316L surgical stainless steel. The caseback and crown screw tightly down to ensure a water resistance of 1,000 meters (3,333 feet) and, should you find yourself in a helium-enriched diving bell, the case is equipped with an automatic gas relief valve nestled between the strap horns at 12:00.
The steel bezel is topped with a scratch-resistant and luminescent ceramic timing ring and precisely ratchets through 120 positions, allowing you to time everything from decompression stops to pizza deliveries.
Inside ticks a self-winding Swiss movement, the ETA 2893-2, which drives hours, minutes and sweep seconds, a quickset date function, and a GMT hand that allows for tracking of a second time zone when used in conjunction with the 24-hour scale on the dial.
Befitting a capable watersports watch, the Bathyscaphe 100 GMT comes fitted with a 22-millimeter ISOfrane rubber strap with stainless steel Aquadive-signed buckle.
The Bathysphere 100 GMT is limited to 500 pieces (of each color) and the individual number is engraved on the caseback.

I own the AD Bronze, the AD GMT Turqouise in SS, and I was not disappointed when I received my AD GMT yellow in DLC! The watch is gorgeous with a overall length of less than 50mm making this wearable for thin wrists but more importantlly better proportioned. The trend of larger watches > 44mm is almost laughable and cartoonish. The DLC coating is superb and some of the best work I have seen on watches. I ordered a bronze bezel to go on top of this DLC case and I am considering getting this installed. I think the contrast of bronze with DLC black has not been done. This look might not be for everyone but I own several DLC black watches and I was looking for something to dress it up a bit. The bronze bezel is inline with the diver them as both materials are suited for diving watches. Don’t hesitate to consider the GMT in DLC!

This is my 2nd Bathyscaphe 100 and also my favorite.
The fit and finish is superb and for the price point Aquadive over delivers.
Extremely accurate and sexy!
I put on a limited edition Shell Cordovan cigar leather with full yellow stitch and it transformed the watch into the stratosphere of style and retro bliss!!
Every dive watch lover should own at least one Aquadive and IMHO (and I have 8 1/2″ wrists) the Bathyscaphe 100 is the perfect size.
Bezel action is super! The GMT chapter ring is sweet to look at as well as the GMT yellow arrow hand.
German steel meets Swiss movement at the corner of big bang for your buck!!!
Buy one!!!

A watch enthusiast and collector, I own several divers from prestigious manufacturers. With the Bathyscaphe 100 GMT, it was love at first sight. Iconic American design since 1972, German case, Swiss movement (ETA 2893-2, top grade), helium escape valve discretely hidden at 6 o’clock, 100 atm. water resistance, orange GMT index (useful during holidays far from home), Isofrane band: a bunch of qualities that you hardly find in more (or much more) expensive competitors… Ok, movement is not a in-house caliber. But in a diver you expect a bullet proof work horse and the ETA is very reliable (and if you are a such a refined kind of client, you can buy the Aquadive Bathysphere 500 Fleurier twin barrel). In conclusion time has come for my Rolex, Omega, Breitling and Seiko to go to the bank. No doubts, I’ll wear my new Aquadive here in Milan every day, waiting for the first dive of my next holiday!
