The genuine TROPIC® is made in Italy from a proprietary vulcanised natural-rubber compound. It is PFAS-free, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and 100% silicone-free. Most imitations are silicone, which attracts dust, feels plasticky, and lacks the structure of natural rubber. If a strap feels cheap and slick, that is a red flag.
3. The ownership
TROPIC® has been a registered trademark since 1955. When Synchron acquired it, it took the original company in full: the blueprints, the tooling, and the brand. No imitator can claim that lineage, because the lineage is not for sale.
